Art of Hapshetsut's early reign shows her in traditional female garb and with a female shape, but wearing the pharaonic crown and beard and in a typically male stance. Later artists, either uncomfortable with the ambiguity or because the Great Builder herself told them to, simply depicted her as male. All hail the Queen!

A stately, classic, androgynous chypre. Two sandalwoods and embalming resins touched with lemongrass and myrrhine rose.
