enedick: What, my dear Lady Disdain! Are you yet living?
Beatrice: Is it possible disdain should die while she hath such meet
food to feed it as Signor Benedick? Courtesy itself must convert to disdain if you come in her presence.
In the language of flowers, striped carnations signify a refusal. Would Beatrice be more likely to toss a pile of them at Benedick’s feet, or whack him across the head with a bouquet, we wonder?
A very modern, almost sheer carnation floats over spiced vanilla and a red velvet musk made up of animalic musks with a hint of chocolate, and sweet myrrh. Melding into these is spicy Moroccan rose, narcotic ylang-ylang, and a warm blend of leather and labdanum accented by a delicate dose of pink peppercorn. The overall effect is a warm, spicy floral evocative of vintage scents but made fresh, approachable, and very wearable.
Notes:fresh carnation petals, spiced vanilla, red velvet musk, soft leather, Moroccan rose, ylang ylang, pink peppercorn
