Awakening of Anubis

The jackal-headed son of Osiris, the God Anubis helped embalm Osiris after his death after he was killed by Seth, thus Anubis became the God of embalming and of the dead. A God that protects the dead on their journey through the Underworld on their way to Osiris and ultimately Horus waiting on the other side in Paradise to place hand in hand the spirit back into the living Paradise or 'Heaven'.

In the circle of life and death, Anubis awaits to tend to you, as does Osiris, to take you to Paradise back in the living where Horus will be the avatar of the next life, it is here in the contemplation of time we all share in what is historical in Ancient Egypt. The history of the Ancient Egyptians show us proof that their living days stood to understand that one day their lives would go to the next realm and, under the Scales of Justice during the judgment of the heart, it was the heart that must be lighter than the feather to transition to what was to come. The Ancients lived their lives knowing this, helping each other, ultimately being a culture for humankind to stand upon in the basis of writing (hieroglyph), art, the stars (astronomy), geometry and mathematics (building of codes and index to pyramids and temples), the invocation of scent (frankincense and myrrh and amber and resin), the connection of life and death.

As the year ends it is a death to what came within the time we shared of ourselves and an awakening of what is to come. The Awakening series is created to bring forth meditation on what has gone behind us, what is before us and most importantly the equation of how we became in the present of our lives and where we are going. Awakening of Anubis, is a closure, a strength to allow things to close and a path toward the awakening of what is to come.
