Nocturne Alchemy Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)
This is the first of the Dark Gods by Jacek Rose.
Anubis, Lord of embalming and the Dead, is the first God I chose to deeper the shadows of my interpretation in perfume.
At the Valley of the Kings, in the Tomb of Pharaoh Tut Ankh Amun, there is a statue of a full body jackal. As in most other depictions, Anubis is rarely shown other than half human. This is my version of the full jackal God.
Jackal: an animal, coyote/fox/wolf that feeds on the dead. The Egyptians wanted to protect their dead and gave this God a jackal face to ward off the animals and allow safe passage of the dead into the Underworld and into Paradise.
The jackal-headed son of Osiris, the God Anubis helped embalm Osiris after his death after he was killed by Seth, thus Anubis became the God of embalming and of the dead.
