Hummel Park is home to many, many supernatural stories and is rife with horrific legends and lore. It bears a very high, natural cliff that has been named, "Devil's Cliff" and has been reported to be the launching point for many suicides. Visitors have claimed to hear lots of nighttime disturbances and moaning. In addition, spectral orbs have been sighted in both photography and in real life. Stories revolve around this area also include reports of "Satanic" masses and that there is a sacred Indian burial ground located somewhere on the park's property that has since been forgotten. The saddest story of them all involves the discovery of the body of a girl who was murdered, however, it was not substantiated if she was killed in Hummel Park or elsewhere. The overall picture to Hummel Park is scary, bleak and very, very dark and this is how I portrayed this in perfume; dark woods, scattered leaves, pitch earth, wild sage, and copal incense.
