On a hike in the mountains of Italy, Atelier Cologne founders Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel stumbled upon a rare flower known to locals as the Brunello. They had never smelled anything like it — there seemed to be a whole ambery bouquet contained within the single bloom. After returning home, they were inspired to create a scent that paid homage to their fragrant memory, and Ambre Nue was born. This highly concentrated Cologne Absolue — 18 percent, to be exact — is the latest addition to the Atelier line.
Top notes of Italian bergamot sourced from Calabria, Sicily work in sync with Italian green mandarin to create an amber halo. The fragrance opens to middle notes of fresh jasmine and exotic cinnamon Ceylon from Sri Lanka, while base notes of African myrrh and Indian sandalwood provide an earthy counterpoint.
