Ono

We do, in fact, consistently imagine this big handsome beastie as a lolfish. The name compels us. We feel it's important to point out that it may not be entirely inappropriate, either: "ono" means "delicious", so it's all too easy to imagine them scooting away from things a lot.

Our affectionate interpretation of this most savory and lol-riffic fish is based not upon the scent of the fish itself, but upon a different taste treat. This is a sweet sticky coconut-rice scent with toasted sugar on top, inspired by traditional Hawaiian haupia. Coincidentally, haupia is also delicious. The fish obviously got there first though.
