ZOMG Smells General Catalog Perfume Oil (Available)
This one comes from a suggestion by one of our customers, working in the East African Rift Zone — home of so so many critical early hominid fossils and about eighty swizzillion volcanoes fed by the mantle plume underneath the rift. The Somali and Nubian plates are parting and eventually an appreciable part of eastern Africa will go floating off into the ocean, presumably to hang out with the Maldives.
What it's about: hot rock just outside our planet's snug core protrudes in a cheeky and intrusive manner through the mantle and eventually to just below the crust, where "hot spots" like the one responsible for the Hawaiian island chain allow it to spit sometimes. Ptui. Our take on it: east African spices, cumin, warm dry celery seed, resins, carnation, and lemon.
