Wiggle General Catalog Perfume Oil (Available)
For years, I've pondered a pear blend, but had never found the right combination. Then a good friend of mine, who happens to be a genius behind the bar, made a cocktail that changed my mind. Stealing quite directly from her (thank you Sherilyn!), I've blended fresh juicy pear with ginger. A little juniper gives a nod to the scent's cocktail party origins, and along with marjoram and bergamot, adds an herbaceous kick. I improvised and used sandalwood and smoky Indian Ood to ground it. This is a scent that somehow manages to be both creamy and bright.
I never thought I was a pear person until Sherilyn handed me that glass, but I always felt like I was missing out each winter. This one has just enough dryness and complexity to keep me infatuated. I hope you'll like it too.
