Wiggle General Catalog Perfume Oil (Available)
Gwenivere, named for my dearest friend's daughter, is probably the least original scent in my line. Recently, after a very long morning of fighting to park at the airport, and fighting traffic downtown, and fighting to find a parking spot, then fighting the malfunctioning parking meter (and subsequently giving up and reparking) we were all a little frazzled when we arrived at Pike Place Market. Fighting the ridiculous Monday morning crowd didn't help either. What did succeed in perking us right up was this amazing bouquet my friend bought. Just a simple bunch of bright sweet peas and bushy stalks of mint, this thing smelled like heaven. Briskly fresh, a bit lemony, and with a gorgeous pink floral sweetness, I just knew I had to try and copy that fragrance as directly as I could. I did take a few liberties, I added some light Egyptian Musk to give it a soft base, and I added a sharp kick of pine (my friends couldn't stop gawking at the trees the whole time they were here).
Being quite light and top-heavy, this scent is perfect for those who don't want to overwhelm the room, or who like to change fragrances mid-day. It comes on strong, almost kicking you in the nose with a cool minty green breeze, but dries down quickly to a delicately fresh floral with a hefty dose of "girl".
