Part Two: Within (Part One: Under)

This offering was created simultaneously by Jacek Rose and Emerson Hart. After discussing the concept of this collection within a Limited Edition Collection, Jacek began work on the perfume and Emerson began prose that, when combined, creates a larger picture of the meaning behind the perfumes. They worked individually, not knowing the perfume nor the words that came from that initial conversation about the concept.

To introduce VA at NA we wanted to explain what VA is about. While the stories, poetry and prose of VA are a lot darker (including dark humour), the perfume itself is created with focus and imagination. The stories, prose and poetry are an accoutrement to the perfume. The perfume itself is based on the realm of Immortality and using imagination to steer the helm of that universe of thought.

With that in mind, this is Within by Jacek Rose and Emerson Hart. We hope you enjoy it and the two that will follow within 2012.

Hummingbird. Diurnal, sunbird. Aerodynamic. Talisman. Spring arrival. A bird that was around thirty million years ago then disappeared and reemerged smaller and sleeker, faster and evolved — the essential emblem for the power that drives them, 'Within'.

It doesn't matter what you said in the depths of my head within the memories of words writhing around and around like a circus of being when the high wire act inside must trust the hands of another to reach out and hold tight onto the spirit of what is and what is not and what might be is around the corner waiting for you and destined for you but you believe more than that can be the answer to the what is when what is not may be and might be just the rain coming down over my head and looking up with mouth wide open to catch the salt of tears from the sky and swallow down the absinthe as the seagull nearby lets out a cry in the dark of my mind where an echo is simply a memory reverberated over and over until it loses its meaning and it all begins again not to matter what you said.
