The Aroma: The most beloved of our warm month rituals is the Noon Fire. We stop where ever we may be, build a willow fire and make our afternoon hot drinks. The smell of willow smoke is dominant of course, but then you smell my husbands pipe tobacco, the strong coffee simmering above the crackling wood fire, and the heat from the fire warming our clothes and the surrounding area. Beneath that you get a whisper of the vibrant plants we crush as we sit down to sip our hot drinks.
