Fall is when the girls are revving up to a feverpitch of activity. This is the last chance they have to store up for the winter and the honey they produce is the sweetest and most compelling of the year. They invade the orchards and the nut trees to make honey for the long winter rest. Sometimes the fallen fruits have fermented and that may be one of the secrets of autumn honey and its goodness. This blend is totally golden, thick, rich, calming and narcotic. There is the merest whiff of smoke to it, but it is not smoke. Very lovely. Very autumnal.Sweet, spicy, foody/gourmand, resinous.
