Not for the faint of heart and not for those who think they cannot pull it off. This is strong stuff sharp and on the order of Christian Dior than some eclectic modern day fragrance. Pepper, capsicum, an extract of black mint, and a thick wash of black musk and gray musk. Strong and sophisticated, no nonsense and well bred. The image is by Whistler (who had a thing for black and white). It is of Lady Meux who married a very very rich man who brewed beer. He bought her diamonds and furs and tried everything that anyone could do to make her acceptable to society. She had been thought to have been a prostitute and snared Lord Meux with her wiles. Alas, all of the Lord's attempts failed and Lady Meux was never accepted into proper society.
