Leap Day 2012 commemorates the wonder of this late winter which has been blissfully mild and beautiful. The violets in my front yard have been blooming since around Yule!!! So there are violets in this year's blend and the kiss of new mown hay which holds the promise of beautiful golden summer days in our future. This year there is no lemony background because it was too overwhelming. There is a peppery musk which holds it all together and gives it a dry and sophisticated edge without giving up any of its prettiness.
