Named for one of the more celebrated residents of Spring Grove Cemetery. General Joseph Hooker was known to enjoy the company of ladies and he was frequently seen with women who he gifted with cash tokens of his concern for their well being. They appreciated him for that. The general is buried at Spring Grove Cemetery but when I went to visit his grave, some wag had carved one of the pink granite "Federal Shields" into a heart and I could swear I could smell the scent of a doxie hovering around the place even in broad daylight. A warm pollen, very fresh floral scent combined with a deceptively juvenile but ultimately sly fragrance element. If the general were alive today I believe he would have bought a few bottles as presents to gain favors. Very nice.
