The Gingerbread jailhouse is rocking this year. It's full of the catch from the Vice Squad and they know how to have a great time when the authorities are not looking. Sweet silky and spicy gingerbread is amped up with more ginger and then smoothed out with a thick coat of light lemony sour cream frosting. Spicy and sportive, I think. "Bite me," as they say in the Gingerbread Jailhouse. The image is a real jailhouse which was torn down in the 1980's but did exist in Cincinnati. It was called The Workhouse and I always thought it was a fabulous example of old fashioned "gingerbread" architecture.
