Possets Mother's Day Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)
-I always thought of Cybele as being a nice, staid, matronly goddess. I was very wrong, she was quite the femme fatale!* Goddess of motherhood, also known as Ceres (Persephone's doting mother), Cybele had a lover named Attis. She was VERY attractive which caused Attis great pangs of jealousy. *Sigh* Such things as any great love story should include. Ceres is the goddess of wheat, Attis is the source of violets (he killed himself for love of Ceres and his blood drops turned into violets). So, for Mothers' Day I propose that there be a perfume which celebrates the sexy of Mom, the fact that she is eternally hott and eternally woman. Cybele is based on a golden distillation of grain, a kiss of honey, hawthorne blossom, a tear of violet or two, a bed of very sexy black musk (black, darlings), Black toasted tea leaves. Doesn't that sound beautiful?
*The cult of Cybele was associated with a great deal of orgiastic goings-on, bizarre rituals, and lots of hanky panky. The name of one of the feasts wherein all this is celebrated is Hilaria (as in hilarious...which comes from the Latin "to be glad"). It was in the spring, when all our hearts are gladdened after a long hard march through winter.
