How will Cambienne perfume oils change during the year? In spring you might expect the smell of earth and distant greenery, the ever present threat of snow and its ironic deeply vegetable scent, and an ozony cloud where steam rises off plowed fields waiting to be planted. Then the scent will change and become greener and sunnier, less coldly aquatic and more given over to a verdant state. In more time flowers will start to appear, the early spring types noted for their subtle perfume, then the flowers will become bolder and bolder, spring rains will intervene, new chlorophyll will triumph over the monopoly which soil has laid claim to. The year will progress though the calm plateau of summer with its humid languid nights and Dog Days of August with dry grasses playing in a never ending breeze. The crack of Fall, the first frost, late autumn and Halloween to the coziness against the sharp nip of November, then the world will come to a rest in December, covered over in a mantle of snow, the atmosphere will turn more and more crystalline and the earth will sleep tight to waken again and start another process through the year.
Though there will be only one Master Flask of Cambienne, the contents will go through the seamless changes that the earth does over our run through the Sun's equator. This is a great experiment, one which needs participation and a sense of adventure. The bottle of Cambienne you buy today will not the same as the one you buy in two months time. This is a very bold adventure for me as well as for you, and filled with great "can't miss" fun. So, let's take this year long pilgrimage around the sun's track of influence, enjoy the changing of the seasons and rejoice in the new.
