Possets 2012 : Egyptian Evenings Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)
The cat goddess of ancient Egypt, Bastet is often shown with a sistrum (a rattle) in one paw and many kittens at her feet. She was a woman's goddess and assumed the most power at the end of the Egyptian Empire's power.
I always think of cats as being such sophisticated creatures who would drink tea rather than coffee. Though there was no tea in Ancient Egypt, if there had been I think this is what it would have smelled like: a rich blend of green tea spiked with the smoke of fragrant burning spikenard, a whiff of coumarin (they didn't have vanilla but this could have been available) and it is thick black sweet and lovely. So, let your imagination run away with you. A sprinkling of sweet spices finishes it all off so nicely. Gourmand.
