Beautiful and strong, Mayari is Tagalog goddess the moon, beauty, combat, revolution and equal rule. When the rule of the skies was in question, Mayari proposed that she and her brother Apolaki rule equally, but he refused. They had a fierce battle, and during their combat, Apolaki took out one of Mayari’s eyes with his bamboo stick. Horrified by what he had done, Apolaki agreed to her proposal. Now he rules during the day, and she at night, but her light is dimmer because of her lost eye.
Sea-salted breezes through a grove of green bamboo are spiked with freshly sliced ginger root. A cup of delicately floral white tea adds to the tranquility of the moment. Underneath it all, Cetalox adds pillowy notes of rich grey amber, soft woods, and warm skin-like musk.
