Nocturne Alchemy Bastet's Garden Summer Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)
With Summer deep upon us, I planted the seeds of Egyptian Watermelons to harvest into the Garden and pluck from the vine, split open and savor the slightly sweet and slightly herbal water of the Egyptian Watermelon. These are a little smaller than the ones we are used to and not as sweet but there are similarities with the fresh aroma along with an essential exotic feel of basking under the sun with herbs drifting in on the sweet subtlety of the fruit. When I was doing a little research for this summer perfume, I found that Watermelon originated in Southern Africa as soil changed through the countries in which the fruit was planted, these little melons became larger and larger, ultimately going away from the small shape of the fruit in Egypt and becoming a large delicious water fruit treat to the rest of the world.
I sometimes lay in the Garden, facing up with my eyes closed as the sun warms me to sleep. The scent of watermelon split open drifts from the ground nearby. The Vanilla Orchids are in full bloom and send a soft permanence of sweet beautiful vanilla just under the exotic watermelon scent. I am in harmony with the scent as tiny swirls of sandalwood drift across the fruit and vanilla and make this feline contemplate never leaving this warm and dream state of being.
A scent for feline content. A moment of dreaming in a moment. A perfume to bring tranquility as well as memories on the inhale of the soft aroma that drifts like sleep under the warmth of the sun. A feline should be content in the present, but a feline should also give in sometimes, to dream and rest the consciousness and the subconsciousness and allow time to pass like a breeze over heavy lids.
