Nocturne Alchemy NAliday Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)

I began this blend thinking about what I would envision if I was standing in front of the Great Pyramids of Giza and it started to snow.

As the snowstorm of thoughts began to form for this perfume in the NAVA lab, the song Snowflake by Kate Bush played in the background and quite simply became a part of the blend. The piano keys the heart of the scent. The haunting piano keys of 'Carol of the Bells' from the Jill Tracy cd, Silver Smoke, Star of Night gave a beautifully bewitching depth to the perfume and both songs became the life of Silver Ankh.

In my imagination of a peaceful world, the scent of violets came through each snowflake that fell down to the Pyramids. On my skin a winter raspberry would permeate through the violet with a breath of Iris every time I exhaled into the air. If I could taste the snow, orange blossom and tonka bean would be elusive until I was ready to embrace the stillness (with no remorse), but instead the beautiful and spiritual power of the ankh (eternal life).

There are things I contemplate when I walk the streets of San Francisco, a rumination on the obstacles I find on paths before me; places I want to be, a strength like no other to get through what is the obstruction, ultimately to the next place in my life. Sometimes new paths can be frightening but knowing this feeling can give us strength to evolve and use it toward what is to come. If not for the frightening, the harrowing, the shadows to remind us...we might not take advantage of the light that gives the shadow life and places illumination on that which unhinges the possibilities and the knowing that there is always more than one way. May this perfume be a part of what is to come for you, as it is for me; a silver lining forward. In the winter breath in front of me, with each exhale, the streets of San Francisco and the dreams of snow over the Pyramids is but a glow to the element of our individual evolution and a path toward something new...when we are ready, though life will not wait for you, that is the heart of the Ankh. It is eternal, it is up to us to walk along side it and give up perfection for balance and embrace life for the many possibilities of failing and getting up and walking once more. I think that, in and of itself, is balance, understanding and enlightenment in the equation of this eternal life.
