Nocturne Alchemy Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)

For this Full Moon update, we wanted to create two separate types of Moon perfumes based on the eloquent and magical full moon and either alone or together, create more than one perfume. The song 'So Close' from Olafur Arnalds, was part of the inspiration of this perfume. Violin and piano played like the wings of a Raven's flight.

Raven Moon alone. Crow Moon alone. Raven Moon & Crow Moon layered. NAVAlchemy.

When we visited Bodega Bay in upper Northern California this Spring, we did so because we had just watched the Alfred Hitchcock film, The Birds. Beginning in San Francisco and ending in Bodega Bay...it would be the beginning of this perfume.

During the weekend stay we learned Bodega Bay is known for turbulent rainy days followed with beautifully sunny days. We even had a deer visit our door. When I opened it, the deer was standing there looking at me nibbling on grass.

We began with rain on our arrival which then turned to a beautiful breezy sunny day the following day and when we finally left, a storm had hit (which we drove through and out of on our return in SF). During the sunny day of our trip, we drove around the entire bay and stopped many times to photograph the beautiful ocean and in hopes of seeing migrating whales.

On one of the trails, there was a big black Raven that was ahead of us by a few feet. He (although this bird may have been a female, we named him Bluey), well, he kept hopping in front of us as if to beckon us to follow. He would hop ahead, then turn back and tilt his head. We followed, since it was the right thing to do. This guy was a great tour guide. He even liked to sit on the updraft of wind that came up from the ocean and between the rocks. He was so graceful with wings expanded. We were not sure if he was a crow or a raven as they are pretty similar, the big difference was this wild bird was huge. Another visitor stated he was indeed a Raven and quite smitten with us. He was about two feet tall, he really was huge. When he expanded his wings and free fell on the updraft, it occurred to me he was just having fun. He was enjoying the moment (even though he was our tour guide), it made me feel good. Sharing this moment with a free-spirit. Sharing the beautifully sunny day together. While no birds attacked us (like in the movie), we had a weekend unlike the weekend Tippi Hedren had in the film. Bodega is quaint and a great place to disappear into. Maybe you'll spot Bluey on a trail, maybe he'll take you on a tour or maybe he'll remind you (as he did me), life is short, enjoy it and be free.

Created under days before the June 13th, 2014 full moon. The last of the Friday 13th/Full Moons until October 13, 2049.

This is where this perfume comes from.

The free-spirit of being. The free nature of being a bird. Spreading wings and allowing our imagination to remind us to fly under the full moon and be part of the energy of all things. A perfume for the elegance of a full moon and an evening of mystery. Jacek reread us Edgar Allan Poe's, The Raven, and we fell in love with it...all over again.

Created by Jacek Rose of VA, Bastet and Emerson of NA.

Blood Orange, Sicilian Sanguigno Orange, White Patchouli, Red Apple Skin, Valencia Orange, Blue Sandalwood, Blue Vanilla Sugar, White Clove dust, N3 Musk, Clementine-infused Armoise, a drop of NA Black Honey, Guaiac Wood and Palo Santo.
