Eternal Luxor Dark

A new and darker spin on a favourite Eternal. This blend recreated from the depths of the ground up by Jacek Rose for his fourth NA LE creation of the next Eternal Dark LE Collection.

"To take anything from the dark, is to persuade yourself out of the light. In this philosophy it is safe to take in the shadow as it exists because of the light. Bonding with these perfume notes took some time. I studied the elegance and science of all of the Eternals and pondered on what made the notes become this harmonious Collection. The perfumes soon began to speak to me in breaths and shadows. First, identify with it. Second, let it identify with you. Third, push it aside and smell its shadow. I hope you enjoy my dark blends exclusively for NA.

This Eternal Luxor, began its story last year when I took a sabbatical to Egypt. Luxor was a place that called to me. In the evening the city is very quiet and very dark. There are not many city lights to keep the sky lit, in fact the darkness of the evening sky felt claustrophobic at times in the dark that seemed to close down upon me. I often walked the streets witnessing men in uniform carrying machine guns. Many peddlers attempting to sell their wares but often leaving my side when I gave them a look of intent.

The Temples that lay within the city gave me a feeling of light within those darkened evenings. I am often told that the best time of viewing a Temple is when the sun turns the land gold and its last beams of light surround the temple. I have not witnessed this but I was there upon a full moon and in a more quiet way, I felt the light of the moon hold the temple tenderly. It was this quiet moment that I began the concept of the Dark Eternals. In a way, Eternal Luxor would be one I anticipated to work on.

This is my memory of Luxor, turned Eternal, shadowed into Dark."
