Nocturne Alchemy Pharaoh Moons Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)
The beginning of all things begins with history. The Ancient Egyptians watched the stars and built the Pyramids aligned with the lights in the sky as a pathway toward Paradise when this life was over and the next was to evolve.
Pharaoh Cleopatra VII (also known as Nejeret-Merites). Daughter Ptolemy XII (Neos Dionysos), wife to the elder of two brothers (Ptolemy XIII). The reign of the Pharaoh between the years of 51 BC — 30 BC.
Pharaoh Cleopatra's Husband, her brother, attempted to dispose of her but she was warned and fled to Syria. Eventually they agreed to disagree and reigned for a short time together. In order to rule together Cleopatra would then have to marry her younger brother, Ptolemy XIV. It was this turn of events that beyond Egypt, Rome entered and thus the Great Caesar arrived in Alexandria seeking an Empire to stand behind him. It was here Caesar favoured Cleopatra and bore Caesar a son, Ptolemy XV Caesarion. In the only relief of Cleopatra in Egypt, at the Temple of Hathor in Dendera, she is seen presenting the Gods, their son.
Pharaoh Cleopatra was educated in literature, politics and so clever as a great asset to Egypt. She was so beautiful she could captivate both Caesar and Antony so that she could maintain her Kingdom and have they as allies. Cleopatra was one of the few that could speak and understand Egyptian. It turned out Egypt was simply a pawn in the Roman Empire and instead of submit to the Romans, Cleopatra returned to Alexandria and in a place still unknown to historians, she committed suicide in the name of Egypt. Octavian thus kills Caesarion and the end of the Ptolemaic Dynasty is at hand.
Cleopatra Moon continues our Pharaoh Moons with a Moon perfume created under the full moon of San Francisco on October 12th, 2011. As Pharaoh Cleopatra was associated with exquisite beauty and intelligence, it was necessary to create a scent with a resin tone as well as a soft feminine nature surrounded by the resin of Egyptian Frankincense and Myrrh incense. A perfume of sensuality and dominance.
In our quest to create the next Moon scent of NA we searched through countless books on lunar phases and history; countless times did the subject matter return to the early astrology of the Ancients. For Cleopatra Moon we wanted to find the elegance of a great woman and a great Pharaoh by incorporating beautiful Peach Incense into the resin of both Frankincense and Myrrh resinoid.
As the moon is an important influence to time and light, eclipse and the energy of the tides, it is also a dark place that is only lit by the sun at seven percent. The moon itself is a dark planet that reflects the sun to give us light in the evening thus a wonderful revelation for our tenth Moon.
We choose the night for our inspiration because of the vulnerability of it. We choose the moon for the romantic notion it holds in our world. We choose the moon because of the connection we have inherent as the movement of the tides of the great oceans of the world connect to it. We are part of it and without it the romance of knowing sun and moon will never touch elements but they can share of themselves briefly every night at seven percent. They can lay upon each other during eclipses and sometimes they can separate the world and unite it at the same time simply by ruling the skies.
This is the Tenth of the new Nocturne Alchemy 'Pharaoh Moons'.
Fresh Peach Incense, Peach Essence, Egyptian Frankincense Resinoid, Egyptian Myrrh Lite Resinoid, Sapphire Amber-Musk, Persian Sandalwood, White Peppercorn Essential Oil and a drop of Egyptian Hibiscus and a breath of Egyptian Hyacinth Petal.
