A returning favorite! Wassailing is a tradition intended to drive away evil spirits and ensure a good apple crop. Cider was poured on the roots of the oldest and largest apple tree in the orchard, and toast was hung from the branches to encourage the Robins (guardians of spirit trees) to nest and protect.
