A blend of creamy, soft vanilla and cool coconut water, tropical citrus and salty sea spray.
Decades of beach trip memories were on my mind when I was working on this scent. The crashing blue waves and the shrieking seagulls, the salty mist in the air and the weathered gray planks underfoot, the unrelenting heat of the June sun beating down from a perfect blue sky, the thunder of the carnival rides and the giddy shouts and laughter from the arcade, the ice cream and cotton candy and tumblers of fresh squeezed lemonade beckoning from the boardwalk, if you could only rouse the energy to hike back across the sand.
This is a not an attempt to capture all of that in a strictly literal way. I have a few other ocean-inspired scents, but for this one I wanted something that evoked those sweet summer days on more of an emotional, subconscious level.
Sensory impressions: light cotton fabric brushing against sun-warmed skin; the inside of a seashell- creamy white, slightly pearlescent, impossibly smooth; vanilla soft serve- cool, sweet, melting on your tongue. That feeling when you're in a place that profoundly relaxes you, where it feels like your lungs can suddenly pull in more air than they're used to. The comfort of nostalgia.
