Olibanum is a fragrant resin obtained from the Boswellia Carterii tree. Also known as frankincense , Olibanum has been used in the creation of incense and perfumes since ancient times. Olibanum resin is also burned on hot charcoals during religious ceremonies as an offering and to cleanse the vibrations of the room.
The fragrance of olibanum is deeply resinous with a sweet sap like quality and a touch of balsam.
