Astrid Perfume heXennacht : 2019 Limited Edition Perfume Oil (Limited)

Moonflower, quince, confectioner’s sugar, ghost flower, bergamot mint, lavender maillette, sage, and star anise.
A friend of mine (hi Barb!) mentioned a few years back something that stuck with me. She said how there is a certain point in time in a woman’s life where you become invisible, where people don’t see you or hear you. I’m starting to see that now. Unless you really stand out in a particular way (with your look or just being loud, for example), people don’t acknowledge you. Or they might briefly acknowledge you, but then quickly disregard you. It’s a very odd thing. And it’s not just men doing this do women, but society as a whole doing this to us. It’s certainly in alignment with mansplaining also (Word just thought I mistyped mansplaining, by the way, so I just added that to my dictionary). Not being seen has mixed blessings. You can go about your life and day without being noticed, like a little ghost going about her business. But you can also go about your day and life without being noticed. Without being considered. Without being appreciated. Without being seen. Without being. I made this perfume while thinking about these things. It is ghostly, like a plume of diaphanous whiteness with a teeny, tiny dark spot in the middle.
